MTa kits are starting points that can lead you and your participants to many different places, from the activities they contain to the sessions they contribute to and beyond.

Our global facilitator community shares some really creative and impressive applications with us, and in this blog post we’ll showcase some of our favourite real examples from the last few months - courtesy of the Royal Navy, a leadership program in Nairobi, a university in Colombia, and many others.

Let’s take a look at what you can do with an MTa kit.

1. Integrate with a framework you already use to unlock deeper insight

MTa activities let participants experience the language that frameworks like Belbin, Lencioni, Tuckman and others create.

Penny Bradshaw, a HR Consultant and Team Development Specialist, attended the joint Belbin + MTa workshop in London.

Her story is proof that you don’t have to choose between profiling tools or experiential learning activities. At the workshop, Belbin’s very own Jo Keeler and I ran participants through their Belbin reports, then gave them the opportunity to test team roles and see how the associated behaviours played out in real time. This transformed theory into lived experience, and led to deeper learning.

Penny says it best: “shifting from facilitator to participant was an unusual experience, but one that also showed how important it is to see things from another perspective.

2. Bring coaching conversations to life

When managers know what it feels like to be coached, they’re more effective at coaching others.

Lisa Davies of Get the Edge delivered their Coaching For Improvement module to delegates from Bell Truck and Van Mercedes-Benz. This interactive, hands-on experience is powered by MTa Learning and brings coaching conversations to life. The result: leaders who coach with confidence, and the groundwork laid for continuous improvement.

This story is one of many examples of our kits being used by global organisations to deliver real, impactful learning.

3. Build sessions around themes that resonate

Building learning around metaphors participants can connect with - like Formula 1 - underpins deep learning.

Liliana Andrea Giraldo Chaverra of Fundadora de Happu S.A.S shared a story of a conscious leadership workshop built around Formula 1, courtesy of MTa Optimise

This program focusses on strategy, precision, focus, and decision-making under pressure, putting participants in the driver seat to simulate the pressure of a pitstop and improve their process and performance with each subsequent race.

MTa Optimise is our newest kit and we love seeing how facilitators are using it. If you’ve used the kit to run a session let us know - we’ll be happy to share.

4. Take experiential learning into a new country

Our activities travel well: no language dependency, no cultural assumptions built in.

Two people engage in an MTa activity on a wooden table, smiling and discussing the structure.

Hans Walhout shared how YEP Kenya and YEP Ethiopia use our experiential learning tools to help translate leadership theory into real-world learning. To our knowledge, these organisations are the pioneers of MTa Learning in the two countries!

5. Design formal curriculum modules around it

Our kits are reusable, durable, and lend themselves perfectly to repeated delivery.

Rodrigo Naranjo Arango of Naranjo Consulting & Coaching explains how he worked with Simón Bolívar University in Colombia to develop the Basic School of Leadership module, putting experiential learning activities at the heart of accredited academia.

We love this because such activities are often used as one-offs or as breaks from course content - building the module around them speaks to their strength and versatility.

6. Fly the flag of your organisation

Bespoke learning materials carrying your organisation’s identity send a strong signal before the first activity even begins. As evidenced by the Royal Navy, whose bespoke experiential learning kits are a source of much pride.

A blue and red Royal Navy bespoke MTa kit with a rope on top, alongside colorful circular plastic pieces and hardware components on a white table.

These kits, featuring Royal Navy colours and the White Ensign, are tailored to what their cadets actually need. Sessions built around the kits carry the Navy’s gravitas, letting cadets learn in an environment befitting the organisation.

If your audience has specific needs or you want the materials to embody your brand, check out our bespoke kits.

7. Have some fun with it

Our materials work just as well outside the training room, and you can use them to start conversations or express the personality of your brand.

As showcased by The Pitch Hub whose happy new year 2026 video featured a creative cameo from MTa materials.

MTa pieces form "2026" on a sports field. Text at the bottom reads "Happy New Year 2026." MTa kit bags are seen in the background.

Could number 8 be from your organisation?

These seven applications are very different, but are tied together by a common thread: a facilitator had an objective, and used our kits to achieve it. From creative visuals to university modules and high-level workshops, our range of experiential learning kits provides the tools to deliver lasting, impactful learning tailored to the needs of any organisation or group of participants.
